One of the hottest dining spots in South Florida, according to Foodable Network, is KAPOW! Noodle Bar, a pan-Asian restaurant in a casual setting which recently ranked #2 in Boca Raton in the Foodable survey. The restaurant, established in 2011, offers an innovative menu of
Asian Fusion dishes along with a diverse selection of craft beers, hand-selected wines and award winning hand-crafted cocktails… something for everyone!
The restaurant has a funky atmosphere featuring a 28’ hand-painted mural by renowned artist, Michael “Pooch” Pucciarelli. The restaurant interior also contains sustainable fixtures including reclaimed wood tables and a bar top of sorghum straw.
Chef Tim Nickey recently joined Kapow! Noodle Bar as Corporate Executive Chef. He is responsible for culinary programs in its two restaurants in Boca Raton and West Palm Beach, FL. Chef Nickey originally hails from Philadelphia, where he began his career in the kitchen at age 14. Later he was the youngest Executive Chef at Morton’s Steakhouse in Boca Raton and afterwards became Executive Sous Chef at Abe & Louie’s Steakhouse nearby.
Chef Nickey has traveled extensively across Asia and his love of travel has been the inspiration for a vibrant new menu at KAPOW! featuring innovative dishes from Korea, Japan, Thailand, China, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Mongolia. Ingredients have to be the very freshest, and Chef Nickey can often be seen gathering fresh herbs and veggies from the local Boca Raton Community Garden.
Chef Nickey has long been an avid fan of Jurgielewicz farm-to-table duck. In his own words, “KAPOW! uses only the very best ducks for its Saigon Duck Pho and Peking Duck, and we insist on the freshest duck direct from Jurgielewicz Farms in Shartlesville, Pennsylvania”.
